Frequently Asked Questions

I can't remember my Beading Daily and/or Knitting Daily password!

To get your password resent to you, please click the log in button (located on the far right hand side at the top of the page) and then underneath the log in entry - click "Forgot my password" and we will send your password to you.

If you get an error message, stating "Access Denied" - please try this:

1) Highlight the ENTIRE link
2) Copy the link (right click and click "copy")
3) Go to your web browser (ex: internet explorer, mozilla firefox, etc)
4) Go to the Address bar on the top
5) Right click and paste
6) Look at the e-mail and make sure that the ENTIRE link was pasted into the address bar

The reason why there is an access denied response is because the entire link is not being entered into the address bar when you click on the link - if you highlight the ENTIRE link and paste it into the address bar, you will have access.

PLEASE NOTE::: If you are a user that signed up on the old website, your USER NAME on the new website is your entire e-mail address, not your actual name. Your passwords are the same, unless you've changed them.

If that still doesn't work, please e-mail us at knittingdaily@interweave.com or beadingdaily@interweave.com

I forgot my password for the Beading/Knitting Daily online STORE, please help.

On the bottom of this page, you can request that your password be emailed to you. Please fill in your email address and select the "submit". Within 5 minutes your password will be sent to the email listed below.

If you have followed these steps and you still don't receive an email, please contact us and we can reset your password.

I am having trouble signing on to the Beading Daily and/or Knitting Daily website! Please help!

Do you have a firewall? Sometimes, we use words that firewalls will block. If you have access to the settings, add us to your list of acceptable sites. You can also delete your cookies on your computer (you might have corupted cookies).

PLEASE NOTE::: If you are a user that signed up on the old website, your user name on the new website is your entire e-mail address, not your actual name. Your passwords are the same, unless you've changed them.

If you continue to have problems, e-mail us at (knittingdaily@interweave.com OR beadingdaily@interweave.com - depending on which site you are on) and send us the following information:

What operating system you are on (Windows XP, Mac OSX, etc)
What browser you are using (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc)
What time you experienced the problem
What you were doing (i.e. trying to download the Tomato pattern, tried to post a comment, etc)
Also include any errors you received. This information will help us track down the problem.

I placed an online order for a pattern and still have not received my confirmation email, please help?

Please make sure that you have checked your Spam or Junk mail folder. If you are still unable to find it, please add the email address to your "safe" list through your provider. The email address you need to add would be store@interweave.com.

I see strange symbols instead of regular text and graphics after downloading a PDF!

There may be a problem in how your computer is trying to open the PDF. Try saving the file first and then opening it up directly in Adobe Acrobat, rather than in your web browser.

Also - please make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

I ordered and paid for a PATTERN on Knitting/Beading Daily and my downloads have expired, what do I do.

We realize that some people are experiencing problems during the download process. If you have logged in and no longer have any downloads available, please email store@interweave.com and a member of our customer service team will revalidated your downloads back to 3.

I'm having problems printing my download to my printer.

1. First check your printer settings when trying to print. On the left hand side of the print menu there is a section that says "Print to File", this needs to be unchecked.

2. Check to make sure that you have the correct printer selected before attempting to print, once the print menu comes up.

3. Restart your computer and then print a PDF file. If the file prints correctly, your system may have been out of memory or resources.

4. If the PDF was slow to download, it will probably be slow to print. You might be able to check the printer status on your computer and make sure that the file is being sent to the printer.

5. Try setting the print quality at normal or economy rather than best quality or reduce dpi to 150 rather than 300 dpi. These settings are selected in the printer setup or printer options.

6. Try closing all other programs on your computer and opening the PDF file directly in Adobe Acrobat and not in your web browser.

I'm on WebTV or MSNTV2 and I am unable to access the patterns.

According to the folks at MSNTV2 (formerly WebTV), you can not download or view .pdfs via their browser. Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing number of patterns and the amount of detail required to provide a comprehensive pattern, a .pdf document delivery system is our best option for delivering patterns. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

When I try to download a PDF, I get a drawing error notification.

When you are getting a drawing error, it means that your version of Adobe Acrobat doesn't have the ability to view the PDF. Please update your Adobe to the newest version. To do that, you:

1) Open Adobe Acrobat Reader
2) Click on "Help"
3) Go down to "Check for updates."

If you get a notification that there are updates available - download them. That will help!

I tried to download Adobe but had issues?

Adobe asks that the following steps are taken:

1. Make sure that your Internet connection is stable.
2. Try downloading when there is less Internet activity.
3. Increase your available disk space.
4. Set security option to the default level (Internet Explorer only)
5. Disable or remove download, firewall, or proxy software.

I placed an order for a PATTERN online and still haven't received the download link

There is a possibility that your email service provider has blocked the confirmation email with the download because they believe it is SPAM. To access your patterns from the store, please log back in to your account at shop.interweave.com. This will bring you to your "Account Information". From there, you can click on the order number you experiencing problems with. Once you click on your order number it will bring you to your "Order Summary". On the top of this page is a box that says DOWNLOAD in red. If you click on that button you will be prompted to either Save the file or Open the file. We suggest that on your first attempt you save the file to your computer.

I placed an order for BOOKS/MAGAZINE back issues and have not received my order yet.

We ask that customers in the Continental United States allow 7 - 10 days for their order to arrive. Outside of the US we ask customers to allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.

If your order has not arrived in the time allotted, we ask that you make sure that the product you ordered is not a back ordered item. Back Ordered Items will have a note directly beneath the "add to cart" button that says either "Temporarily Out of Stock" or a comment with the expected arrival month.

If you did not order a title that is on back order and you have waiting through the expected arrival date, we would be happy to check on the status of your order. Please email customerservice@interweave.com.

I placed an order for a eProject through www.interweave.com and have not received my download.

Once your order is complete for any of our eProjects, a confirmation email is sent from orders@interweave.com. At the bottom of this email there will be a link to your PDF project. If for some reason you disgarded this email, please contact us at customerservice@interweave.com or 1.800.272.2193 within the US/Canada or 1.970.669.7672 for outside the US/Canada and we would be happy to resend the PDF.

What is that box of words I see in the right hand side of KnittingDaily.com?

A tag is a word or phrase that helps you find posts, projects or patterns with similar content. In a tag cloud, the size of the tag represents how many items have been tagged with that word or phrase. Tags are usually single words and are typically listed alphabetically, and the importance of a tag is shown with a larger font size. When you click on a tag, it links to a collection of items that are associated with that tag. By clicking on another tag on the results page, you begin to narrow, or "filter" your search.
For Example:
Clicking on the Tag "Pullovers" may present a list of results (for example 20 results), and a second tag cloud. When you select another word, such as "Men" the result list is narrowed to 5 entries.
