Finished Size: 30¾ (34¾, 38¾, 42¾)" (78 [88.5, 98.5, 108.5] cm) bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 30¾" (78 cm).
A graceful frilled hem and soft variegated color make this top reminiscent of Monet’s famous waterlilies. the shaped tunic is worked in the round to the armhole, then the front and back are worked separately. the front half of the fitted bodice is worked on the bias—the stitches slant toward the center, while the back is worked straight up in the usual way. eyelets add a decorative touch to the center front and back and outline the edges of the tunic’s v-neckline.
Yarn: Colinette Giotto (50% cotton, 40% rayon, 10% nylon; 56 yd [44 m]/100 g): #101 Monet, 3 (3, 3, 4) skeins. Yarn distributed by Unique Kolours.
Yarn Weight:
Gauge: Gauge 12 sts and 18 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st worked in the round on size 11 (8 mm) needle.
WPI (Wraps per inch):
Needles: 10½ (6.5 mm, 11 (8 mm), and 13 (9 mm): 24" (60-cm) circulars (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); stitch holder; size G/6 (4 mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle.
